A Burger King receipt is the record of your order — the items, taxes, total, store number, and transaction ID — and on many receipts, an invitation to the MyBKExperience survey for a free Whopper or discount. This guide explains what's on a Burger King receipt, where to find the store number and transaction ID, how the receipt survey code works, and how to get a copy.

What's on a Burger King receipt

A Burger King receipt is a standard fast-food ticket with a few details that matter for surveys and records:

  • Restaurant (store) number & address — the specific location that served you, usually near the top.

  • Transaction / order ID — the number identifying your order, needed for the survey and any complaint.

  • Date, time & register — when the order was placed and at which register.

  • Itemized food — each item (Whopper, fries, drinks) with its price.

  • Subtotal, tax & total — the food total, sales tax, and amount paid, plus payment type.

  • Survey invitation & code — a message near the bottom inviting you to the MyBKExperience survey, sometimes with a code.

The MyBKExperience survey and your receipt code

Many Burger King receipts invite you to the MyBKExperience customer survey. To take it, go to mybkexperience.com and enter the details from your receipt — typically the restaurant number, the date and time, and a survey or transaction code. After answering a short set of questions about your visit, you receive a validation code to write on your receipt and redeem the printed offer — often a free Whopper or a discount with a qualifying purchase on your next visit. The survey usually must be completed within a few days of your visit, and the offer redeemed within a set window, so keep the receipt.

Where to find the store number and transaction ID

If the survey site asks for details you can't spot, here's where they live. The restaurant (store) number is usually printed at the top of the receipt with the address, sometimes labeled "Store #" or "Rest #." The transaction ID (or order number) is generally in the middle or lower section near the date and time. If your receipt doesn't show a survey code at the bottom, that location may not be running the survey, or your slip is a kitchen/order copy rather than the customer payment receipt.

Getting a copy of a Burger King receipt

Didn't get a receipt, or lost it? For an in-store order, ask the counter to reprint the last transaction — many registers can. For a mobile app or delivery order (the BK app, DoorDash, or Uber Eats), the receipt lives in that app's order history and in your email confirmation, which is the easiest place to get an itemized copy for an expense or a refund. If you paid by card and only need proof of the charge, your bank statement shows the amount, though it won't itemize the food the way the receipt does.

Burger King receipt templates and records

If you need to rebuild a lost fast-food receipt for an expense report or your own records, our receipt template and generator can lay out a clean, itemized copy — store details, items, tax, and total — in a readable format.

For legitimate record-keeping only. Recreating a receipt for a meal you didn't buy, or to claim an offer or expense you're not entitled to, is fraud. Use this only to reproduce or organize your own genuine purchases.

Related receipts: rebuild a McDonald's receipt, a KFC receipt, or a Popeyes receipt just as fast.

For pizza orders, the Pizza Hut receipt page covers survey codes and rewards points too.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about the product and billing.

How does the Burger King receipt survey work?
Many receipts invite you to the MyBKExperience survey at mybkexperience.com. You enter the restaurant number, date, time, and any survey code from the receipt, answer a few questions, and get a validation code to write on the receipt and redeem the printed offer — often a free Whopper or discount with purchase.
Where is the store number on a Burger King receipt?
It's usually printed at the top of the receipt with the restaurant address, sometimes labeled "Store #" or "Rest #." You'll need it for the MyBKExperience survey.
Where is the transaction ID on a Burger King receipt?
The transaction or order ID is generally in the middle or lower portion of the receipt, near the date and time. It identifies your specific order for surveys or complaints.
How do I get a free Whopper from my receipt?
Complete the MyBKExperience survey using your receipt details, then write the validation code it gives you onto the receipt. Bring it on your next visit to redeem the printed offer — commonly a free Whopper with a qualifying purchase — before the offer expires.
How do I get a copy of a Burger King receipt?
For in-store orders, ask the counter to reprint the last transaction. For app or delivery orders, the itemized receipt is in the app's order history and your email confirmation.
Why doesn't my Burger King receipt have a survey code?
Either that location isn't currently running the survey, or your slip is a kitchen/order copy rather than the customer payment receipt. The survey invitation and code appear on the customer receipt, usually near the bottom.
